There is a little copper brush that is resting (brushing) on the outside of the tumbler.

Unplug it before you do anything.

Check and see if the drum will turn freely by hand. If not, then it is locked up and you'll have to determine why. If it does turn freely, then most likely, a broken drum belt. You will have to get to the underneath or at least the backside to get a better look at the problem. good luck.

Does the drum turn easily by hand? Could be a broken belt or it has slid off the rollers it rides on. You should be able to hear the motor kick on when starting it. If not, it may be4 burned out.

you may have a broken belt, take the back off and check to see if the belt is broke. what does it look like you ask well it goes all the way around the drying drum, if you find it is broke your best bet is to purchase a new dryer.

It has been my experience that European ANYTHING is wired for THEIR voltage (240-480) Ours is 120-240. The heat is coming on because it it wired for 240 You may have blown the motor because it too is 240 But with our wiring confiquation it is 240 for the heat but, 120 for the motor. This is just a quess with the info provided. Good luck .
