I sprinkled baking soda then poured vinegar ontop of dandelions. They reacated and formed a fuzzy foam ball. The next day I looked at the spot where my experiment took place. There was NOTHING there but barren land - no grass and no dandelions. Should I continue using vinegar + baking soda as a weed killer?

Question:

Is it safe for the enviorment?
Are there any hazards for humans?

I would appreciate a few suggestions. I was initially thinking of nice leather but I heard it stains quite easily and I don't want sodas/food to spill over while watching TV. Do you have any suggestions for mid-priced furniture? My home theater is quite nice. I spent $10,000 for a Hi-Def TV, Blue-ray player, and Bose speakers. So I am not looking for a cheap look. Definitely nothing as cheap as Ikea or Walmart! But nothing tooo expensive as some of those 100% full top grain leather furniture I have seen in ads costing $3,500. . I am looking for a living room set - Sofas, Loveseat, recliner chair. Any links would be appreciated. Any specific suggestions as to what kind of furniture is resistant to stains, would also be appreciated. Thanks.

I moved in this place and the air was working fine at first . Then i noticed the air wasn't cooling right, I looked outside and the fan wasn't turning. I turned the air off. I have tried the air several times since then and the fan would turn sometimes and others not. Can anyone please tell me what is possibly wrong? Thank You.

I have a 4 year old ac unit and just had the motor replaced. the thermostat is set for 75 but during the day the temperature in the house just goes up. usually to 83. i have had it checked and was told that everything is fine and its just too hot for the ac to get to that temp. should I call someone else and spend even more money? i would like to have and idea what could be wrong when I do call someone else. i don't want to keep spending money on this and the problem to continue.

I am gonna build some raised beds in my new garden, around the edge, this will be under some trees, which are big, but nice so i want to keep them, can I make them part of the border which will mean putting soil around their bases, not much just a few inches at most?

I've tried scrubbing, but so far, no luck! Right now, it's soaking with a paste of cleanser and liquid dishwasher soap. I know there's got to be a better way.

I cut down a two year old oak tree which had died but left a couple of flowering shoots intact which were coming of the base of the trunk. Now there are about 6 of these shoots and they have grown about 8-10 inches and are flourishing.

Will these grow into a new tree(s) or will it just become an oak bush?

I know it has something to do with the lighting but I want it to be easy. Since there are five I would like three to be straight and two to spiral around two straight ones. However, it's fine if they all spiral.

i just shifted to a new house which has a decent kitchen cabinet, shower with heater and that's about it. i only brought my clothings n various electrical appliances. i would like to furnish the house eventually but i could only afford to get a piece at a time. could somebody suggest what are 5 most important items to get first? there's no need to list any type of electrical appliances. thanks.

it has a red stock with broad leafs comming off every 6 in or so. there are deep red marks on the leaf. The lady that sold it to me thinks it's some form of a banana plant but wasn't sure and wasn't sure how to care for it. I would post a pic but my camera is broken. it stands about 3 feet now and she said she heard they can grow as tall as 12 feet.
