And no, I'm not in there right now. :)

This is the second time in a year this has happened. I live in a very old section of the city, and tenants in this building leave their large windows wide open so they just fly in (which I don't do). I didn't think a bat could crawl in to my place underneath the door, but I witnessed one doing exactly that firsthand.

I'm petrified of these things, but I would like to avoid calling an exterminator if at all possible. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get rid of this thing myself? Is there anything they are attracted to that I could use to lure it out of my place and into the hallway? Any ideas will be greatly appreciated!

Ok, i live around the twin cities(mn) area and we have a forest in our back yard. But lately i am finding these little black beetles in my house. I have found them everywhere, my room, the sink, my bed, all of the walls, ceilings, ect. and i dont know where they are coming from and i dont know what they are. They are a little smaller than your pinky fingernail and are black- very dark brown. My mom says they are probably coming in on stuff and on people and windows and stuff, but i dont think so. But I need to know what they are and how to get rid of them efficiently ( i have consitered fogging the house).

I don't know if it is the mattress itself or the bed board that it rests on. Should I buy a box spring?

After having my bedroom blue for quite some time, I decided to paint it all white. Thinking it was a simple task, I bought some white emulsion and a roller and started to paint over the blue! However, the blue is showing through in patches even after painting over it several times.
At this point, I searched online for the reason and read some articles about painting over darker paint and some suggested to use a 'Primer'.
What can I do now?
Can I just paint the primer all over the white paint?
Help :(

I have an old discusting bathtub with ugly blue tile surrounding it and a nasty sliding glass door that collects mold like no tomorrow. I'm limited with $$$ and was looking to line my bathtub and bathtub walls. Does anyone have any idea how much this might cost me. I have a few contracters coming out to give me quotes and I just want to make sure they don't take advantage of me.

My wife and I are trying to see how much it is going to be before we order a set of house plans so we know about how much we can afford. Also we are seeing about buying a lot and wanted to know if the lot is priced at $45,000.00 how much should we expect to pay for it, we are only 22 years old and have never bought a lot before. We did buy a house 3 years ago paid no closing costs or anything like that, so I am asuming a lot is going to be the same way. I am in the construction business and all of my home builders told me to expect to pay anywhere from $60 a sq ft to $120 a sq ft depending on appliances and fixtures things of that nature. Figuring in at $80 a sq ft is what we are hoping to build it for and then if the costs rise higher than that we just wait on getting a pool and dip into those funds. The lot has water, electric and phone at the street, does all of what I am saying sound do able?

is it mere coincidence that they are here or do I worry about infestation in my house? The first one was stuck in a crock on my hutch. The second was flying around my house this morning and my husband let it fly out of the house. We searched the ceiling and there is no way that we can see of them getting in to the living quarters of our house. He will go into the attic when he returns from work...ideas???
