how do i wire a tractor lawnmower with 2 headlights and electric start?

its a sears 8 horse power briggs n stratton the wiring has been cut off it i would like to have a diagram for this tractor, wiring schematic

You can try googling it, I posted a basic wiring diagram at groups site a while back , shows wire paths, colors, heres the link http://groups.yahoo.com/group/thelawntractorclub/join . Its usually one of the main reasons why tractors wont run as well, bad wiring.

Your best bet would be an owner's manual. Someone with a scanner should be able to provide it for you.
