Most definitely. Those "tabs" that the give you is a concentrated bleach product. I used plain old bleach all the time. You will have to keep an eye on the levels. Also, your PH chemicals can be replaced with Baking Soda. If you check out the largest box, usually on the bottom shelf, you will notice on the side that there are instructions on how to maintain your PH level with baking soda. Have passed these hints on to many of my friends - they are grateful as they have the maintenance dollars by almost half. Please make sure you keep an eye on the levels in you pool. Test often.

Sorry Mac, that s nonsense. no longer purely is bleach very affordable it s sodium chlorite that's the right same +3 chlorine generated via a salt water chlorinator. I switched to bleach and that i've got in no way been happier. fifty 5,000 L pool. One Gallon of bleach extra beneficial my unfastened chlorine from a million to 5 on the strip tabs. It s affordable to at around A$3 a Gallon. contains no calcium hypochorite which makes pool cloudy and extremely stressful (in certainty chalk). in the adventure that your chlorine is fluctuating it s by way of inadequate stabiliser (cyanuric acid) which could be around the 50ppm mark. via the way I placed 2Kgs of ordinary unstabilised cholrine in my completely stability pool. It lasted for form of four days and pool became cloudy for a week. frequent bleach is a thank you to circulate.

Yes. The chlorine percentage is not as strong as regular pool products but it can be used. Check your levels before adding too much. I always walked around the pool as I poured it to get better even coverage and no "hot spots" before it got circulated.
