If I had to choose between new landscaping or a new roof, gutter & exterior paint, which should it be? Which will add more value to my home?

Someone just bought a condo but discovered a roach problem. After Terminex (sp) visited a few times the problem was still there and then it was figured that the whole building must be infested. (After a neighbor commented on how her roach problem wasnt so bad lately) Obviously one person can't pay to exterminate the building so could you report the situation to the health dept? She said there is no one to talk to as far as who runs/owns the complex and i suggested the health dept. Or is this the kind of thing they will just have to deal with? Most of the tenants are (i believe) owners and not just renters. This is in NC.

My apartment is overloaded with stuff and furniture and I would like to de-clutter. However, short of just throwing it in the trash, I can't figure out the fastest, financially smart thing to do to get rid of it! The idea of taking 100s if pics and selling the stuff on ebay sounds draining, giving it away to Goodwill would be a waste, and just letting it sit is driving me crazy. Any ideas on how to clean up my apartment and feel good about it in the process!

It is an older model. Best guess is the stove top is over 20 years old, yellow in color, 4 electric coil burners, and four control knobs to the left of the burners seated side by side in 2 rows.

I have seen here on YA recipes for homemade baby wipes- sounds like a great idea. But does anyone have a recipe for making homemade cleaning wipes, like the clorox wipes or windex wipes? Would you just soak the paper towels in the cleaning liquid and store, or do you add something else?

I have a questionable bush in my sideyard but can't determine if it really is poison oak or not. The best way for me is to send pics, which I have (about 5). I live in Northern California.

Anybody know where I can send my pics to online/website and get a reliable response?

The pipes in my shower have started "singing" lately. Does this signify a larger problem? Should I fix it, and if so, how?

Northern Maine, middle of July (It's about 20 minutes from Canadian border).
What flowers bloom each year, perennials?
I cheated: two questions in one. Sorry.

I have a small backyard and a huge dog, 200lbs. I walk him whevenever I get a chance, but because of work, not enough. His urine in the backyard is gagging, I rinse off the urine as soon as I see it, daily, but it still stinks! I tried pressure washer the concrete, but it's kind of difficult to pressure wash my planter. What do I do? Will spraying vinegar kill the plants? How about baking soda?

I live in a rental house with those old, wooden tiles. I love them but it looks like at some point the floors were all refinished with the exception of the living room. It is a 16' x 15' rectangle of DULL matted floor! I am not going to fork up the cash to have that area refinished by a pro, and my landlord isn't budging- any suggestions on a gloss or something that I can apply after giving the floor a good scrubbing?

We rent a 4 bedroom "2" bathroom home in a great neighborhood..Fireplace, basketball court, we love it. We were told the carpets were all going to be replaced, a new shower downstairs, (has NEVER attempted to put it in) new doors (there are holes in a few and no locks) we told him the garbage disposale and dishwasher have been not working for over a month, causing leaks in the ceiling..Nothing done! A heavy rain caused flooding in the newly remodled basement a month ago.He had a company put dehumidifiers and blowers down for 4 days..The carpet was NEVER tacked back down..Flooded again a week and a half ago even worse. He came, looked at the damage with a cement company. That was last Friday. We haven't heard from him since even with placing calls.WE pulled the carpet up. We're paying almost $1300 a month (ridiculous in this area). We haven't been able to use the downstairs in a month. What can we do? I'm worried about the mold and moisture. We live in Iowa..Didn't sign a lease. HELP!

My girlfriend recently moved. At her old house she had several very large sunflower plants, the smallest being at least 6 foot tall. I told her I would transplant them to her new house. The new house is over 100 miles away, I have a pickup to transport them in but how do I make sure they will survive the trip? Will the old wet paper towel thing work for this? Does anyone have any special techniques for this? Thanks in advance.
