Ok, so my little bro threw up all over my favorite pair of basketball shorts, and 2 put this as simple as possible, they REAK!!!! I have ran them through the washing machine about 5 times now, and they have gotten better, but they still have that smell in them..UGH!!!.... does anybody know any tricks/products to get the damn smell out?

Borax definately works. Its found on the laundry detergent aisle in a box. Put about a cup in there with your regular laundry detergent.

It's awesome stuff. My garbage can was stinking to high heaven yesterday. I sprinkled some Borax in there and an hour later it was just fine.

Put Baking Soda in the wash water

Put them into the washer with detergeant + 1/2cup baking soda. When the rinse cycle comes on add 1/2cup vinegar. They will smell nice after that.

Soak them overnight in the washer with some Tide with Febreze, then air dry them and spray with Febreze. If you don't want to spend the money you can soak them in baking soda and laundry detergent but I think I'd go with the Febreze. Good luck and tell your brother to run to the bathroom next time. ;)

I have to wash my son's bedding with vinegar added with the soap when he gets sick. I have never had to wash more than once using this trick.

Use Borax to wash them.

Spray them with fabric refresher spray.......
