I have never had stickers before, but this year, they are everywhere. What caused them to all of the sudden appear and how do you get rid of them?

I watched a TV special where they were dumping septic trucks on a concrete slab out in the middle of no where and letting it dry out then scooping it up to make potting soil. Is this for real?

My hosta's were beautiful due to the 70 & 80 temps we had in the middle and end of March. However, the temps dropped back down to the 20's and they all wilted and died. Do I need to trim the dead stuff off in order for them to come back, and better yet, WILL they come back? And my Japanese Maple leaf's also turned dark. Will these also come back or will the tree be leafless this summer?

I received tulips and mums for Easter...I'd love to plant them, but I thought bulbs had to go into the ground in Fall??? Can I plant the mums now before they die? And if I do have to wait until fall, do i need to continue to water these things long after they are done blooming to keep them alive and ready to plant in Fall? No experience with perennials or bulbs. I only know how to care for annuals!!!

I am putting up a 5 foot fence to keep a lab from running around the neighborhood and stressing out that big fat dog lover down the street. I spoke with my neighbor who just happens to be the mayor and he told me the street is 60 feet wide, so he asked me to measure 3 ft from the middle of the street then 60 feet x 2 because I own 2 60 ft wide lots. Does someone do this professionally and legally and how much should I plan to spend. We live in a rural area town population 600. I can afford a mistake and have to pull the fence down and move it over 4 inches or something stupid.

Looking for your thoughts and feedback.

I have a serious wasp problem outside my back door. A few weeks ago, I thought I killed them all using a spray, but the weather got cold again and now that it's warming back up here they are showing up again. My wife and dogs are terrified of them! But I see no nest! I think they might be in my attic but I am not sure. What can I do?

My mom bought it at Wal-Mart had no label on it. Instructions say to keep it evenly moist and in bright light, and it came from a nursery in Carthage, MO called FGH, Inc. Picture of this plant can be seen at: http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n34/aetreat/purpleplant.jpg

I found a box with a ton of old bulbs and a box of seeds (the generic impatiens seeds from Home Depot). It's been about 5 years since those were planted. Should I throw them in the trash, or throw them in the ground? They were in a cool, dark place for this amount of time...

I'm definitely no green thumb...

the black bracket where you place the toilet bolts to set the toilet is not holding the bolts. is there a way to fix that? the bracket is cemented into the floor so i dont think that i can just pull it off and replace with a new one. another issue is that the floor has ceramic tile so i need to be careful what i do to remove it.

i had a person suggest that i drill into the concrete where the bolts would go and then put a led plug into it and then put a bolt in. would that work or does anyone have a better suggestion?

As we are becoming more aware of global warming I think it would really make a difference if we went back to the old days when most people would hang their clothes outside to dry our clothes instead of using the dryer. (given the fact that you have a place to do it) I know some people still do it, but very few. I really want to do my part by creating a permanent rack. The problem is I really don't know how to build one or if they are available somewhere for sale. Any ideas, information, or suggestions will be appreciated.

I noticed that when I cut a bush down to almost nothing last year (a stump), trying to kill it, it came back and actually looks good now. I would like to do that with other bushes around the yard. Can this be done with most decorative shrubs or is there a good chance that I will actually end up killing them?
Thanks!

I bought a lighting kit to make videos but the light is so strong that smoke comes out of it. Is it dangerous? What happens if i leave it on for too long? Will it burn? I tested it 4 times and every time after about 1 minute the smoke started. I just bought it. The light is 1000 Watts. It's a professional kit.

I know this question has been asked a hundred times but I have a problem with my floor tiles. They have a small indented seashell pattern that loves to accumulate dirt. Other than getting down on my hands and knees with a scrub brush I cannot get the stupid seashells clean, needless to say it just makes the rest of the floor look grimy. I cant scrub it like that once or twice a week my knees cant take it. What can I get to dissolve the dirt?
