I have just bought a small pineapple plant which I keep inside, how much water should I give it?

The pineapple, Ananas comosus, is a bromeliad. In the wild they collect water through the "well" at the base of the leaves. Keep the soil just moist, but always keep the well topped up. Be careful not to let them dry out in winter if your house is centrally heated. If the air is very dry, give the leaves a light misting with an atomiser sprayer.
