If you have the package they came in look at the lumens that each light gives off. Just guessing but probably not. the 25's will be dimmer than the 75W. So you'll have 3 dimmer lights verses one brighter bulb.

Watts is the amount of energy a light bulb uses, so 3 25-watt bulbs will uses the same amount of energy as a 75-watt bulb. Light is measured in lumens. The package the bulbs come in should tell you how many lumens of light the bulb produces. (Not all bulbs of the same wattage produce the same lumens, it may vary depending on the manufacturer.)

This web site shows the lumen output for different wattage bulbs:

It looks like you will get a lot more light from one 75 watt bulb than from three 25 watt bulbs.

No. It will still be that of a 25 watt bulb, because they are all 25 watt bulbs. It doesn't work like mathematics. If you want the light from a 75 watt, then you need to get a 75 watt.

one million. injury down the subject into basic equations (your givens): 60-watt bulb = x $0.seventy 5 = value to purchase x $0.0085 = value to function x in line with hour 800 = hours x lasts CFL bulb = y $12 = value to purchase y $0.0021 = value to function y in line with hour 4000 = hours y lasts 2. What does the subject ask for? "while is the value to function the two bulbs the comparable?" so the equation you will choose would have a level of TIME and an equivalent sign. In essence, you're asked while is 0.0085x = 0.0021y? okay to date? regardless of each and everything which you get to questioning, because of the fact the value to function the bulbs are diverse from the beginning up then it heavily isn't the comparable no count how lots time to run into infinity. If the subject desires to renowned while the value of making use of the bulbs will equalize, then we can remedy for it. as a result, the question on the top of the subject is badly phrased.

Depends. What you will get is the same amount of heat from the three low-wattage bulbs. Light is measured differently.

Wattage does not tell you how much light they give off, but how much power they use to do it. The amount of light you perceive is measured in lumens.
