If a wall is textured with drywall mud, how long does that need to dry before painting? I see people asking about "plaster" -- but that is something different than drywall mud, yes? My paint can says to wait 30 days before painting after plastering -- but I don't know if they are referring to drywall mud or "real" plaster. I know that contractors certainly don't wait 30 days after texturing a wall to paint -- they usually have the whole drywall, mudding, texturing, and painting done within a week or so. Can someone give me a definite answer?

I woke up this morning to find one of our windows broken. It faces into our very secluded back garden, which is virtually impossible to get into. I looked for a projectile to see if someone had thrown something at it but could find nothing. I don't think it could have been a burglar because of the difficulty of getting into the garden. What could cause a double glazed window to break all by itself?

I sprayed carpet stain remover on it but it didn't remove it. Does anyone know how I can remove this stain from my carpet. It looked to be a black grease stain. Thank you for your help. Look forward to hearing from anyone. I will try anything...to get it off my beautiful carpet..
