My husband and I bought an old Christmas Tree farm in CT, we cleared a few white pine & spruce trees to build a small house, but we still have hundreds on the 4 acres. We were hoping we could sell them, but don't even know where to start or who to start contacting. They range from about 2-12 ft tall, we were thinking about getting rid of most of them but it seemed like a shame to just cut them down, they are still young enough that they would have no problem being replanted. Anyone have any ideas on who would be interested in them?

Last year my onions produced, but they weren't round. They were flat, a smaller distance between the root and stem. I'm thinking I didn't plant them right. I live in zone 4, and the soil was tilled well and they had ample water. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I am going to paint my living room / dining area. I want to add color. It is a medium size space that is longer than it is wide. The dining area is small and is in front of the living area, so the couch kind divides the spaces. The small dining area has three small walls, one of which has bay windows. I know the ceiling will be white, with the brown wood colored beams. From the chair rail moulding down will be white or off white, I would like to add color, or colors to the top half of the walls, are there 2 colors that would look good with each other and with the carpet for each area of the room? I have a light blue carpet that I hate, and dont want blue colors on the walls. I plan to one day change to hardwood floors, but would like something that would not clash with the carpet too bad for now. Thanks for your ideas!

I currently have fescue grass in my backyard and my dog (an Australian Shepard Beagle mix) likes to run around really fast and she ends up tearing the grass out because she's so fast. I think I need Bermuda or Zoisia grass because they're both so spoungey and she wouldn't be able to tear it up. But I have a large tree in my backyard and there isn't enough sun to grow Burmuda or Zoisia. Can I get genetically altered Bermuda or Zoisia that won't require as much sun as regular Bermuda or Zoisia?

I am getting married and my fiancee has picked out some fine china for our registry. In my opinion it is really old fashioned looking, and out of all of the choices at the store, it is the 'oldest' looking. I have told her which sets I liked - very plain and more modern looking. The question is, how do you shop for china? The way I see it is to find a balance between classy stylish looks and cost considering that pieces would need to be replaced if broken. I would also think that you wouldn't want too many embellishments for fear of it going out of style, but also something classic. My fear is that her tastes are too old and don't fit the modern style of our home. I am lost and have no idea how to shop for china, so I would appreciate any advice and maybe some websites to reference as well.

Planning on painting the stone around my house, washed them with muriatic acid, some of the stones turned a green tint color that wasn't there before washing, what causes the green coloration? Would painting on the green be ok? Thanks

We have a small bathroom with just the tub and toilet. There is no window and the vent fan doesn't help much. I don't want to use a lot of chemicals because of the poor ventilation. We've tried keeping the light on, because I know it grows faster in the dark. We put some plants in there on top of the towel cabinet to absorb some humidity, and the mold started growing on them (yuk!). It's on my shower curtain, my walls, my tub, my floor, my ceiling, my toilet, it's everywhere and it's gross! I don't even want to touch anything!

Something has dug under the lattice under my porch and dug 2 holes up against my house foundation. There is a pile of gravel about the size of a wheel barrel load next to one hole.
I suspect this is rabbits but I have not actually seen them.

Any suggestions on removal? I tried to flood the hole with a garden hose but gave up as the hole never filled up.

The yellow pages in my rural neighborhood seems focused on termites not varments.

I have just installed a wooden privacy fence. One of my neighbors is quite upset that I put the "ugly side" on his side. His side is the side where you can see the posts and crossboards. His property is poorly maintained and the fence was installed to screen our view.
Is there some fencing ettiquette that I have breached or is the method of installation a matter of preference?

A small part was still connected so I put some drywall putty around it to keep it together and tied it to some sticks to keep it up. Is it better to just remove the whole top part and cut it just below the break though? The trunk has no leaves, it is just a stump a few inches above the ground.
