I currently have fescue grass in my backyard and my dog (an Australian Shepard Beagle mix) likes to run around really fast and she ends up tearing the grass out because she's so fast. I think I need Bermuda or Zoisia grass because they're both so spoungey and she wouldn't be able to tear it up. But I have a large tree in my backyard and there isn't enough sun to grow Burmuda or Zoisia. Can I get genetically altered Bermuda or Zoisia that won't require as much sun as regular Bermuda or Zoisia?

Nope not yet maybe some day . Fescue's are shady area grasses while zoisia and burmuda need lots of direct sunlight.

Sorry to tell you, as long as you have this dog running, you aren't going to have any nice grass. Fescue is one of the best and most durable grass, but a running dog will tear up anything.

Yeah, but if you get caught with it, you could be charged with a felony possesion charge.
Sorry, I don't know.
