I watched a TV special where they were dumping septic trucks on a concrete slab out in the middle of no where and letting it dry out then scooping it up to make potting soil. Is this for real?

I doubt it...I work at a septic business, and by law we have to take it to a treatment plant...I wouldn't think the state would allow it, unless the potting soil company disclosed this on their packaging... I know we do "knife" it into the fields for growing feed corn...not anything for human consumption...

Human waste, unlike strictly grain eating mammals such as cows, contains too many contaminates and by products to be used in this fashion. They don't make potting soil out of it.
