I have a used water heater and dryer but don't know where to take them any ideas? I hate to just throw them away if someone can use/fix them for people who could use them.

I'm wanting to have these as part of my wedding flowers, but we're trying to use seasonal flowers only, because of the cost and the energy that it takes to produce flowers year round. The wedding is September first. Thanks.

I have my pepper seedlings in 4" peat pots under lights in my basement. I would say the temp is a constant 65-70 degrees. Some are doing well and some of them have leaves that are curling. What is causing the curling?

Kay well!

We moved into this new house just over a year ago and even though we've had 2 rounds of flea bombs and the like cockroaches still keep popping up! 2 in the bathroom so far, 1 in the study, 1 in the bedroom and tonight ONE IN MY BED!

We have cats but they're food/litter is pretty tidy, yes I have had food in my room but its always pretty much cleaned up.

Any ideas what to do? We have indoor pets so no evil chemicals are really in the picture ...

ALL HELP APPRECIATED!

I bought the precut filter squares for my registers, but they are too small. Also I need to find something to put on the larger cold air return registers. Looks like cotton batting or something is on there right now. It is so dirty I need to replace it with something else. My mother said her friend uses cheesecloth. What do you recommend?

I called my landlord over a month ago about my air conditioner not working. He told me to call his repair people which I did. It took them 3 weeks to get out here and tell me the unit was no good and they would be back on Monday (this was Friday) they never showed up and I had to wait another 2 weeks. The unit they brought was old and rusty...it worked for less than 24 hours. It took another 2 weeks for them to come back with another unit (it looked worse than the other one) and it worked less than 24 hours! I have asthma and I am hot and cannot breathe! Is there anything I can do to make my landlord buy and install a NEW unit?

I am renting my childhood home off my parents with my bf. The other day my dad got the big poinsiana (sp?) tree in the backyard cut down. I was upset as i really loved that tree. But what also upsets me was that the guys that he got to come around and chop the tree down also trampled and killed all the plants i had planted in the garden bed surrounding the tree. Surely they should have more respect for someone elses garden. What are your thoughts....?

I've recently moved into a new house.
There is a problem with the kitchen in that the cooker is practically infront of the door.

I've asked my landlord to have it moved as it is unsafe but he believes it's fine.

There are a number of problems:
there is a socket above the cooker...
There are no work surfaces either side of the cooker and when you open the kitchen door..the cooker is right infront of you.
The potential for burns and accidents is astronomical yet he doesn't see it.

Is there a website that highlights safety and cooker positions in the home?
Ive had a look but haven't been able to find any that states exactly where a cooker can be placed.
It's also right infront of the space allocated for my washing machine which means I have to try and pull the cooker out to open the washing machine door.

Any advice would be appreciated.

In my back field I have a huge number of these weeds growing. They have one stalk straight up, resemble raspberry canes, but they are covered with the meanest thorns I've ever seen. They grow densly, and return every year, even after having mowed them down. Any idea what type they could be?
