Rather than kill the skunk and possibly every animal that partakes of the substance ...
WHY NOT CALL ANIMAL CONTROL!
The skunk can live in a new enviornment where it has a place in the world without fear death by poisioning.

Perhaps you have forgotten that We the Humans are responsible for the earth and all of earths creatures.
Book of Genesis man was given dominion over the Earth (Gen.1:26; 2:19),
http://www.solarsabbath.org/animals.htm
Man is called upon to monitor his actions toward the creatures in light of the fact that they too have senses, feel pain, suffer hunger, raise offspring, can be happy or become emotionally depressed, etc. For example, if you were to go camping in a forest, one must remember that we are entering the backyard and home of bears, raccoons, birds, and other wildlife. On the other hand, we can not be so foolish as to let the beasts encroach upon our settled towns in an unsafe manner, or let vermin such as mice or rats bring disease into our dwellings. Furthermore, as man deliberately changes an animal's personal awareness, this likewise entails a change in responsibility on the part of man. Let's check a Biblical analysis of our duties and guidelines concerning this subject

I cannot believe that you would want to kill this beautiful animal. Skunks aren't harmful to humans. The only time they will spray is when they feel they need protection. Please use a humane way of removing the skunk back to the wild. Any animal will come onto people's property if they are drawn there. The first reason is food. If you have a garden you can protect the plants with plant protective devices that are available most anywhere. During the cold weather skunks look for places to keep warm. They find their way into openings around the house, garage or shed. Or they may do this while giving birth. As long as they are not threatened, they won't spray. Please notify a professional to handle the situation properly.

I'm not from the US, so I guess I may not know much about skunks. Even so I don't think it is a good idea to poison skunks, or other native wildlife.

Golden Maldrin which is a fly poison works too. Mix it with a little coke or pepsi and put out where the skunks are. Beware it will kill dogs and cats too, which goes for anything that will kill a skunk.

I live on 5 acres and every year - a skunk finds its way under my horse barn. I just throw a chunck of longhorn cheese underneath, and in a few days, he will come out looking for water, and die. They can't digest cheese. I know this works - have been doing it for 20 + yrs.

OMG why do you feel the need to kill it. Can't you trap it and release it in the wild? (most city's have this service). Then after you catch and release you should sit back and have a cold GOLDEN MALDRIN and coke with a twist of lime
