i've noticed since the weather has started to warm that there are ants coming into my house, i havent figured out from where but they seem to congregate in my sink, they ants are black and that's about all i can say about them, they don't travel to any other parts of my house just my kitchen sink. i saw some answers to natural ant removal so i will try them but i just want to make sure they are just regular ants and not carpenter ants

Ok, so I moved into a really old house and whomever painted the upstairs bedroom last did a terrible job! Now, floor to ceiling I have accomplished but the windows are still a problem. They have paint all over the glass and I've tried scrapping, scrubbing, stripping, nothing will get this 20+ year old paint off. My question is: Does anyone have any ideas on shades or like a window tint to simply cover up the windows?

**Also, I can't afford to replace them right now, so that's out. Thanks!

I asked this question earlier and I know the fertizer in the product is not harmful but what about the insecticide in it?
Since it is adsorbed through the roots of the plant...

The product says not to use on plants intended for food,
so what about the nector in the flowers that the hummers and butterflies are after?

I've searched the web and called nurseries...cant find what I'm looking for. Does anyone know where I could find out?
thanks.

My neighbours have 6 dogs, which bark quite a lot. Apart from that they are alright. However...as it is a nice day I am just sat out in my garden and it is nice and peaceful apart from ymy neighbour who keeps coughing and his dogs which keep barking! AHH! Does anyone else have annoying neighbours?

I sprayed 2 days ago and it looks like there are still many aphids left. Is it just the remains of the skeleton?

I had problems with a guy that has his dog crapping on my lawn and you woul dthink he would be the one getting the fence, but I'm tired of it and dont want to see his dog on my property. We are on a non speaking basis, do i need to advise my annoying neighbor of my intent to put up a fence?

My spouse and I seem to disagree on which looks better. I've always felt that a stone tiled entryway gave a good first impression of "Wow, nice place" (let's pretend,$$ is no object)
My spouse thinks that you are not supposed to break up the hardwood floor. There is a defined entryway and after that is the dinning rm,kitchen, and hall way which are all going to be hardwood floors.
Does any body out there know where I can find pictures of stone entryways leading to a hardwood floor? Or is this not to be??

We are remodeling our bathroom, and we are going to build a custom tile shower and realized that where we need to make our "wet wall" access panel to the plumbing, right next to it is the back side of our breaker box. Is it still safe to build the shower there?

I bought a chandelier for a kids room that holds a 60 watt light bulb, but did not realize it is to plug in and hang. I want it to be a part of the ceiling with the wiring internal and functioning with the light switch- is this possible?

The opening to the hole is 1.5 ft squared. After investigating the hole we discovered roughly an 8 foot square hole underneath part of the garden and heading under the house, this is as far as the eye can see, so we are unsure if it goes further. The hole itself is too neat to have been dug by an animal.
The health and safety officer was useless and our landlord is completely baffled can anyone help us identify where this hole may have come before the rest of the garden caves in.
It is confirmed not to be a cesspit.
