So we fixed the cause of the water. However there is still moisture trapped in the insulation (difficult to get to but there is attic access, however boards above any insulation).

My question is how do we remove the water before we repair the ceiling. I was thinking putting holes in the ceilings drywall. Once water stops running into buckets etc. Then running dehumidifiers for a few weeks in both the room with the damaged ceiling.... And potentially in the attic?

We live in MI, its friggin cold outside. Probably moist to. Is running a dehumidifier in the attic (above the wetness) a silly idea? If so what about a fan just to get some air movement?

Trying to do this on the cheep but we are considering having a company come out with professionaly grade dryers. We had this problem last year and they ran huge "dryers/dehumidifiers/not sure exactly what" for a few days. Then tested walls for moisture. Like I said would prefer not to pay a professional dryer.

I’m looking for some sort of lock that can be fitted to a refrigerator. Are there any locks designed specifically for fridges?

Thanks.

Is it ok just to ask cabinet company people to just come out and give me estimates? How do I know if I am getting an accurate estimate? How many estimates should I request? How much information do I need to give the estimator? I am concerned about "offending" companies by asking them give me estimates then not following through with the work. We are planning a complete kitchen remodel, floor, cabinets, fixtures appliances. Where should we start to get the best estimate?

Hello,

I’d like to find a lock that I could fit easily to any door (e.g. a hotel door). I was wondering if there any security locks that can be fitted without having to do any drilling, etc.?

Thanks in anticipation.

I want to move the air conditioner from one side of my house to the other. (closer to the furnece) After I have some one come and empty the (freeon(spelling?)) or what ever is in the airconditioner. is it as easy as pouring a new concrete base and running the new 220W wire.
What would be the best way for me to do it myself is what I'm asking.

in trying to do so, I use perfume free powder soap, made for children and people with asthma, and softeners. I usually wash at 40 degree celcious and even make extra-washing in the end. yet, there stlll remains the odour especially when I use the clothes i washed and when it gets warmer. i.e. putting on a jacket over a t-shirt just washed....

I believe I have a crape myrtle (Acoma...white flowers) in my front yard, but I'm not positive. I have been looking at pictures of crape myrtles on the internet, but they don't look like my tree. The leaves and flowers seem to be the same, but the tree itself doesn't look like the ones in the pictures. I think that might be because I've never pruned the tree before. It's about 6-7 feet tall, and my leaves and flowers don't grow only at the top (like the pics), they are all over the place.
Anyway, I want to trim some of the lower branches from covering my shrubs. So, before I prune it to look like the pictures (not the whacked off ones), I was just curious as to whether or not there are any trees that could be confused with a crape myrtle. I read on one website where someone confused their dogwood for a crape myrtle, so I looked up dogwood...and it's definitely not a dogwood.
Thanks!
