I have heard if you spray buff or have a mixture of water and wax and spray it on that it will make the wax build up and be uneven but i want to know with just straight water if it will do anything harmful to the wax. Is it more aggressive with water and take off too much wax. I am only supposed to strip and wax once a year so will it eventually wear down to bare tile before the year is up? I buff 5 nights a week on this floor. Also i use a battery opperated buffer and it has a stress gauge on the pad so you know where to set the pad pressure and when i tried this spraying water the stress gauge went up but did not hit its limit. Please let me know what you have personally experienced or what you have been told or taught. Thanks

I moved into a flat in Beijing about 5 months ago and in the bedroom there was a telephone socket hanging off the wall, I assumed it was useless so I snipped the wires and then stuffed them back in and sealed up the socket. I then realised that the main telephone line came into the apartment through this line. I have managed to put some of the wires back together which has given me access to the internet again, but the landline telephone will still not work no matter where I connect it. Do the internet and the telephone run on separate lines and am I going to need an engineer to come and repair the line? Or can anyone give me some hints as to how to repair? There are eight wires in each cable, an orange/hatched orange, blue/h blue, brown/ h brown and green/ h green. There are also two white wires which I assume carry the power.

Arkansas Traveler. Has anyone grown either and what do you
think? Also, do you know of any really good cherry tomatoes?

I hear a loud gurgling sound coming from the toilet. It does this often but not all the time. It has been suggested that it's probably a vent problem, but the vents seem to be clear, both of them, the one that comes out of the bathroom and the one that comes out of the kitchen. I am puzzeled to why it is doing this.

We have recently moved into a house in Australia with a tin roof. There is a layer of 5cm batts on the rafters in the roof space, but the temp is 10-15 degrees C higher up there than in the house (with all the windows and doors open). I don't want to get air-conditioning, is there another way to insulate the roof and cool the house?

I currently have a drum style humidifier on my forced air system. I've been told that a flow through design might be a better choice. Before I spend money on one can someone give me some insights? Thanks.

I recently moved in to my first apartment. The tub and toilet are older and, therefore, stained. Is there anything I can do about this? I am a clean person and I don't want people thinking otherwise. Thanks! Oh, by the way, the water here has some kind of minerals in it. I don't know what it is, but it tends to stain things green if it sits long enough. I don't know if that helps or not.

I have two young children and a dog. I have pretty well wrecked my dad's Dyson, and my Eureaka Boss vacuum, that is fairly new. I can't spend hundreds of dollars on a vac, mainly because my husband would go balistic if I did. Also, something light weight is a plus.

I bought a gorgeous solid wood mahogany sleigh bed. The bed is hand carved. It's has little legs that hold the bed up that look normal but it also has pieces that just sit over each leg and make the legs look detailed. What are those pieces? I don't think they serve a purpose other than making the legs look pretty. THANKS. BEST ANSWER WILL BE CHOSEN.

I usually shave my head in the shower. I let my hair grow out quite a bit and I hated it. It was too hot and too much trouble to deal with so shaved my head with a hair shaver. Most of the time it works, because there is not enough hair going down the drain to matter. This time, however, there was enough to clog it. It's not totally clogged, but drains really, really slowly and backs up a little when it finishs draining. Is it safe to use Liquid Plumer or something similar to that to unclog my drain if I have a septic tank?

Rental: Oversized water heater, and finally set it down to minimum. What did that cost me monthly? What if I put in a manual switch to turn on an hour before showers?
