You know, VCR on it, big screen, always "Warm to go," What have I been paying for just having it plugged in?
If I shoot it, can I return it, no holes asked?

I doubt that this unit is the cost of your electric bills. My son-in-law is a master electrician, I ask him everything. Anything that creates heat, the fridge, the heaters, an iron, a toaster, a mike. If it creates heat it will eat your electric bill. These solid state new electronics do not use that much electricity. Don't worry about it.
Check your water heater, is it electric, do you take long showers? how about your clothes dryer, do you wash and dry all the time, your dish washer? these all use a lot of electric.

My daughter does not use her dish washer anymore, she changed they way she washes clothes and dries them. She changed the way the three kids shower, like the Army 12 minutes to s...t shower and shave. There are ways to save a lot of electric if you think about it.
