An average small heater for a house is about $900.00 without installation. An average man, handi-man, will have a hard time installing one of these, best to have a plumber and, I can't say what the price of this would be.
I installed an regular heater. After paying for one of these, I figured it would be about paid for by the time the warranty would be up, about twenty years, I could have about five regular heaters and, I can install them.
These are not cheap and it's going to be awhile before they come down in price. The benefit of one of these does not out weight the price of one, by a long shot.

Depends on electric or gas. Electric is cheaper. A small electric one would cost about $250. If you don't overpay, a plumber could hook it up for less than $200 bucks. If you don't have the proper electrical connections and wiring, figure more for an electrician too. On the other hand, if you get gas, it could cost thousands and the plumber would be a lot more too depending if he has to do the venting. Up to $600 depending on the amount of work.
