I am moving out of my parents house in 2 weeks! Yippee, I'm so excited. I'm 22. I'm glad I waited, but it's definitly time!

I feel like I'm pretty prepared and I have pretty good handle on what I'm in for. But, even so, there's always something, right??

So, everyone, give me adivce on having my very own first place! Anything! Even if you think I've heard it, tell me again! :)

two quick notes - I have plenty of money in savings and am not having roomates!

ok...GO!

I have a 1" square x 60" long hollow metal post that a house number sign will hang on. What can I use to first of all drill a hole into the ground, how deep should the hole be, and what else can I do to secure it so it won't wobble. It is not mega strong, and I am afraid if I pound it in with a sledge hammer I will bend it.

When I walked into my house it smelled of rubbing alcohol. What could it be? I feel a little sick now, but I am wondering if it is my imagination - feeling sick, not the smell - what the heck could it be?

whats the most cost effective way to heat a greenhouse,8'x6'?
I was worried that my preferred choice, an electric heat/fan would cost too much to run.
But today having seen the cost of paraffin and guesstimating it will cost a fiver a week to run a paraffin heater I'm wondering if any fellow greenhouse owners could share their experiance.
thanks

I have a potted plant, I leave it by my window. I had it in my dorm room, where it was fine and growing very well. I went out of town for a month, and my plant did not always get much sunlight or water. Now that I have it back at school, I leave it by the window, and water it regularly, but it will not grow back. the plant was not completely gone when i took it back, I lost half of it, but there were still a few shoots that were only a little wilted. If anyone has any idea on how to get this plant back, it would be great. I am not sure what kind of plant it is. It is still alive, it is just wilted. It has been like this for about a month now.
thanks!

I heard that they are cheaper than conventional hand made houses.
Could anyone confirm this and if it is true, by how much?
Also, how much do they cost in general, and how long they take to make.
Could they be shipped down a small street??
