Hit up Walmart or Target, or if you wanna spend a little more, Bed Bath & Beyond, Mervyn's, Kohl's, etc...
My experience has been to go by what feels best to me no matter where its from.
We bought most of our towels at either Target or Mervyns. I just went with what feels the softest for the regular bath towels, then I looked at what looks best for the guest bath, etc... So we really have two towel sets. But trust me, dont go by the store name when buying the towels, in essence you get what you pay for. But I say go to Target or walmart first, then work your way up price wise to the other stores... lol.....

Bath towels are an essential for any bathroom since they provide people with something to dry off with after washing, but they also provide an inexpensive way to accent the bathroom’s decor.
Since there are several types of bath towels, such as washcloths and hand towels, one should always have more than a few of each to provide for all the members of the household and for possible houseguests.
Knowing what fabrics bath towels are made of can enable one to more effectively find the most comfortable bath towel.

Maintaining fresh hand towels not only is a sign of a tidy home but is essential for promoting cleanliness and preventing the spread of bacteria. Bath towels are the standard towels for drying off after a bath or shower, so it is key to have one or two for each member of the household and some extras for potential guests.

Get them on clearance at JC Penneys or Walmart. You will need enough bath towels to last you until you do laundry. You should have at least two hand towels, and wash cloths are optional if you use bath pouffy things. You only need one pretty set to leave out for looks.

Since price isn't a major concern, you might try Bed Bath and Beyond or one of the high end stores. We found some nice bath sheets ( big
towels) at one of the major dept. stores back east. Also you might try adding some fabric softener to the wash.

Egyptian cotton, high thread count, Bed, Bath & Beyond. They cost but are worth it.
My best advice to anyone is to have one set of really good sheets and towels rather than several sets of mediocre.

Honestly, I got my towels from Walmart and I love them. They are thick and didn't cost a lot either.
