I have a potted plant, I leave it by my window. I had it in my dorm room, where it was fine and growing very well. I went out of town for a month, and my plant did not always get much sunlight or water. Now that I have it back at school, I leave it by the window, and water it regularly, but it will not grow back. the plant was not completely gone when i took it back, I lost half of it, but there were still a few shoots that were only a little wilted. If anyone has any idea on how to get this plant back, it would be great. I am not sure what kind of plant it is. It is still alive, it is just wilted. It has been like this for about a month now.
thanks!

you probably need to change the soil and give it some fertilizer and if that doesn't work I'm sorry.

Try giving it a gentle shower in the sink with lukewarm water and then let it drain completely, and see if that perks it up.

Otherwise, you can try cutting the best-looking shoot off and rooting it in water in a clear glass jar in a sunny window. There are also rooting solutions you can buy at your local garden or plant store, it sounds like your plant may benefit from a little of that. If it roots, plant it in new potting soil in a new pot and you'll have a baby of the original plant, then you can get rid of the old one if it's dead.

It may be that the old plant may be too far gone to come back. Try taking it to the garden store with you and ask for suggestions, or maybe you can find another one like it. Make sure to wrap it up well in a plastic bag before you take it out in the cold.

Good luck!

Hmm.. it might be a goner. Have you ever fed it? Fertilizer might help.

If it was that badly weakened, it may take a long time to recover.

Good Luck.
