Tried to remove old layers of wallpaper, but they have been painted over-impossible to remove. Also, lead paint and cracking plaster under wallpaper. Really have no other choice, since we don't want to demo. Wallpaper is relatively tight. Please help!

Most mattresses by tempurpedic are in the $3K range for a queen size. Is there anybody who sells them cheaper or a similar style for less money? Anybody have any experience with these, are they worth it?

I'm trying to stick these blinds up, and the wall frame of the window seems to be made of some sort of steel!

I started with a black wood bit at first which obviously didn't work. Then I went to Bunnings Warehouse and they sold me a High Speed Steel bit.... it cut the first hole to 1mm depth.... now it doesn't do anything.

I then went back bunnings gave me a Cobalt Hige performance drill bit...... went back home..... nothin... I went slow just like they told me, but no joy.

What can i do??? the screws I'm preparing the hole for are 3mm gauge with a 2mm core.

its kinda subconscious but rears its ugly head sometimes. a psychologist once said it was to do with my parents, my dad was horrible to me. so could she be but that was so long ago. I am quite a quiet person at times i get surprised when people do like and accept me.

I have an Eureka Altima vacuum - its only about two months old. I've noticed that at the bottom, where it sucks up all the dirt it's expelling dust into the air (as I feel a vacuum should not do this it makes me a little upset). I clean my vacuum regularly and I have no idea what could be causing my vacuum to do this! It has excellent suction picking up things off the floor - I just do not want MORE dust in my house!

Did I just get a worthless vacuum?

There's a toilet in our house that suddenly sprang a VERY SLIGHT leak. It's in the front of the bowl right where the bowl meets the tile floor. Basically, a segment of the caulk joining the bowl to the floor became gooey, and water VERY SLOWLY leaks out at a very slow rate.
It's very minor, but clearly something needs to be done (I'll probably have to take this apart.)
The bowl is still full though, and flushes fine.

Any guesses as to what the problem could be here?

Going to repaint over lead paint (don't want to sand) and would like to fill in gaps, cracks, etc. Wood filler just cracks again and pushes out--right? Wanted to use something expandable to avoid this. (The floor is made of 6' wide somewhat knotty pine boards- not a nice enough floor to refinish.) Please help-- 1st time homebuyer--OLD OLD home. Thank you.

I am putting 3" wide baseboards along my living room, dining room, and around the base of built in cabinets. Can anyone tell me the rule for measuing the miter on outside corners and inside corners?

I want to get it perfect as I have just about exactly the amount of baseboard that is required and hope I don't have to buy any extra.

Thank you.

I have a flat screen t.v. and there are spots on it. I tried spraying grease lightening on a rag and wiping it off, but the spots won't come off. It looks like tiny dry water spots, but it's not and I don't know what it is (I have 2 kids and a dog lol)

Just finished painting, all ceilings/walls are flat white. When you are house hunting, is that 'oh good!' or 'oh crap!'?
