First, remove as much gasoline as possible with a dull knife or spoon. Then blot the remaining area with a clean cloth to absorb more gasoline. Next, sprinkle the stain with baking soda to absorb any remaining gasoline, fourth, rub dishwashing liquid into the stain and allow to sit for two to five minutes. Soak for 30 minutes in hot water and dishwashing liquid. If the stain remains, apply a thick baking soda/water paste to the stained area. Let the baking soda dry, and brush it off the stained area.If traces of the stain remain, apply a stain remover stick, gel, or spray and let stand for 5 minutes. Then wash the clothing in the hottest fabric recommended for the fabric.

If you've doused your clothing with gasoline, and the smell still remains after you've followed the steps above, here are a few more things to get the smell out.

1.Vinegar

Soak the clothing in a vinegar/water mixture for 30 minutes or longer.

2. Orange Cleaner

An orange cleaner added to the wash load can help break down the traces of gasoline and get rid of the smell. Look for an all-purpose cleaner derived from oranges, like OrangeGlo's Orange Clean All-Purpose cleaner or Fantastik Orange Action Cleaner. If you've doused a gallon of gasoline on thick denim jeans, you may need to use the whole bottle.

To remove any type of oily (inorganic) substance, like motor oil try this:
1.) Circle the stain with dish soap (DON'T SKIP THIS STEP!!).
2.) Spray the stain inside the circle with WD40.
3.) Allow to set for 20 minutes to reactivate the oil.
4.) Using an old tooth brush, scrub the stain with the dish soap circle. You MAY want to add more dish soap a this point.
5.) Launder as usual.
I KNOW this works, I've done it!!
GOOD LUCK!!

Dawn dish detergent is great. Put it directly on the clothes/stain as well as a little bit in the wash. To make sure none is left over in the washing machine, run an empty wash with Clorox 2 bleach (color safe) or Pine-Sol in the water.

Wash those soiled items separate or maybe at the laundromat. Use Goop on grease soiled things and laundry soap in load. Rub Goop in til it dissolves the grease. You will see.
