Venetian Pattern? There is a ratio of each tile for each pattern. It does not hurt to buy more than you need. Area of anything is length x width. I don't know what your trying to ask but I hope I've answered it.

it looks like you didn't finish your question, but i am going to try to answer anyway.
in doing patterns with diferent size tiles, normally it is something like this
12x12
12x6
6x6
or
16x16
16x8
8x8
i have never heard of using 4 sizes,. you can get several different patterns with three different sizes like i mentioned
