Right now I have picked a Blue color from Eddie Bauer paint collection. I am Female. it also depends on what kind of mood you are in and if it something you thing you will be able to stand for more than a years time. Check out Behr.com and Lowe's.com and go to their interactive painting links. There you can pick and choose colors and see what they may look like. Also get the samples and look at them in the daylight and in the evening this will allow you to know what it will look like in the different lights. It works great and helped me in decided other color schemes in my home.

Maybe you could do two colors...check out the dual textured rollers at the paint shop. Makes a room look cool-kinda marbled.
Or go to Home Depot and get a wallpaper mural of something cool to put on one of the walls. There's one that looks like you're on the moon that looks very realistic. Or maybe a beach scene. They look very real-like you're actually on the beach!
