Yes ,put a couple towels in with the curtain for friction. I shake the excess water out put it in the dryer with dry towels. I allow it to just get warm (1 Minute or so) so the wrinkles fall out as it gets flexible and the hang it back up.

Yes, you can & yes, I have done this many times. I use hot water & very little detergent in the washer. I use a capful of bleach in the water also. (don't put anything else in with it) When drying the shower curtain, use the low heat setting for a little while & then hang it back up in the rod to let it finish drying.

I have washed my curtain, but I hung it on the line too. After several washings my curtain got little cuts in it. Before I started putting it in the washer I used to soak it in the tub with some bleach water and then I just hung it back up on the rod and let it drip dry into the tub.

You can wash it - but risk ripping it to shreds. Whatever you do - don't dry it! I just make a policy of replacing my plastic shower curtain once a year - they aren't that expensive and I usually can find them on sale at Kmart or Walmart.

I wash them on gentle warm with bleach (and my whites) & dry them on low temp for about 5-10 min.. bc/ they come out of the washer all crinkled and no they will not melt in the dryer.. works great on quality liners.. a cheap $1- $3... may survive one washing... I suggets you invest in a good one or consider it disposable...

No they will melt. the best way to clean them is to open them out and spray them with a mildew remover or bleach water. rinse them off, and hang to dry. To keep the mildew from returning, make sure that the curtains are flat, and have no folded parts. If you have to dry them inside, put a fan on them for best results.
