We recently painted our concrete porch floor with a tinted Epoxy paint that was meant for high traffic garage floors. I then painted the ceiling with a flat latex ceiling paint. I wasn't being very careful and there is now white ceiling paint all over my blue porch floor.
I assumed I could scrub the white paint off with regular soap and water, but it's not working!
What can I use to remove the white paint without scuffing, scratching, or removing the porch floor paint?

This morning it was 8 degrees outside and the room with the water heater was warm and we had plenty of hot water. Last week it was 40 in the morning and the room with the water heater was warm and there wasn't much hot water. What gives?

I know that in a small appt./house there should be a harmony of colors even when somebody paitnts different rooms in different colors..I am going to buy a three bedroom appt.I have, so far, made up my mind to follow a cream and coffee/chocolate brown color scheme for my drawing room. The drawing - dining room is of "L" patteren, so I have to choose the same color scheme for the adjacent dining room too.I 've a lot of accessories, furnitures.tablewares to match the scheme. So I don't want to change my mind about the color scheme. But I do not want to follow the same for all of my three bedrooms, kitchens and bathroom. This is quite boaring.IAM FOND OF PASTELS.Please suggest me some other color scheme that will go well with the color of drawing -dining area.(this area is the common place from every room and naturally the largest open place. So by standing there every room should look harmonious in color scheme. ).Pls no yellow(except for kitchen)&blue(except for bathroom).
Thank u

It is mainly in my hallway and conservatory, somtimes the bulb can blow as soon as I replace it, other times it has blown within 2-3 uses (ie on and off) In the past 6 weeks I have gone through 8-10 bulbs for 4 ceiling/wall lights.

I think I need to contact a foundation repair company to do this but I"m just curious what is the band sill and what function does it perform. A few contractors I called were ready to come out and then I said it was the band sill and they said oh no we won't do that. So what's the deal is it a risky repair?

My husband and I just bought our first house and we moved in June but other than things we use every day things have just been stacked around for many reasons. One of them being I ended up giving birth to our son at the same time we closed on the house and moved in. I have finally got all our everyday use items where I want them, kicked my husbands cats outside and reclaimed my master bath. (I became allergic during pregnancy and we had to lock them up.) and unpacked my boys rooms. Sooo I'm ready to start organizing things I store and my boys rooms. I'm hopeless at storing things we don't always use cause as soon as I do we need something and we (usually my husband) tears thru things looking for it and poof everythings a mess again. I'm going to invest in some clear plastic bins so we can see inside I think thats a start. But I am open to any and all storage and organization tips. Thanks

We are having a super bowl party. Everyone that is coming will smoke, so we are talking 6 or 7 hours of smoking in the house. How do I get the smoke smell out once they are gone. Or how can I keep it minimized why they are there?

The problem has occurred with increased frequency over the last 2-3 weeks, and seems to coincide with either someone taking a shower in one of the upstairs bathrooms, or when the washing machine is used. The washing machine is on the same level as the toilet in question, about 10-15 feet away. Only one of the upstairs showers seems to trigger the over-flowing. Please help!

We are in the process of remodeling our guest bedroom. When we pulled up the carpet we found vinyl flooring underneath. What is the likelihood of the glue used containing asbestos? We started pulling up one of the tiles, but stopped. I know we can get a piece tested or do it ourselves. Does anyone know where to find a DIY kit?...or is that a bad idea. Thanks!!

I recently had a friend come up and stay in my apt for a few days when I was gone. He smoked inside the whole time, and now it reeks. Besides Febreeze, does anyone have any good suggestions as to getting rid of the smell? I know this sounds silly, but would a humidifier possibly help to clear out the smell?

I can use bleach to get rid of the mold stains, but it usually comes back in a week. Is there anything out there that will do a better job than bleach and doesn't require that I use a gas mask?

I am replacing my ancient garage door opener. I have a solid wood double door. I have read screw drives are good for heavy lifitng, belt drives are quiet and chain drives are dependable. Is this true? What would you buy if you were purchasing a new one?

Thanks
