We watch the lights and are careful. I get a bill for 26, then the next month 300, the next month 150, the next month 250, then 30... and it does not correlate with the seasons and daylight. The bills are wacky and I call in and they say I am using alot, but I"m not. Some of the esimates are high too, so it can't be the estimates verses the readings?

so, i need to replace the water heater. my home is the 1950's ranch style in north texas. it's currently gas. the thing is...i was in a nasty gas explosion a few years ago...and consequently HATE gas, scared to death of it, can't even use my oven without freaking out. but...also not rolling in cash. right now i just keep the closet door shut and never get near the water heater.

when i get the new one, which is better and cheaper? gas or electric? and if i already have a gas one, can i even switch to electric? or is that impossible?

i have a 30 gallon heater, is that ok? this house has two people in it. about how much should i pay for a water heater, will any one do?

1) Very darks - like black, navy colors or jeans
2) Towels
3) Sheets or Blankets
4) Bright or Pastel Colors
5) Whites that shouldn't be bleached
6) Bleach load

I want the Room to bring the sense of focus, but also tranquility (read: less anxiety), I know colors won't change the world but I have to paint the walls anyway (last tenant painted them neon orange... no idea why) so I would like to paint them with a purpose. I do lots of work in my room and every search on the internet was for bedroom or Office, well mine is both. I don't know much about feng shui, but I am open to all sugestions

I'm wondering if the hot rod in my dishwasher needs replaced. Does it heat up the water when it fills? or is the heat from my hot water heater?

I love fresh herbs and have an outdoor kitchen herb garden in the spring and summer each year. So I've become spoiled and no longer want to use dried, store bought herbs. This year I decided to make one indoors. I planted seeds of common kitchen herbs (parsley, rosemary, marjoram, etc) per seed package directions. They are in small pots on my kitchen counter with a grow light over them. I watered them thoroughly two days ago when I planted the seeds and assume I should water them a bit each day.

My questions: How long should it take before something green peeps out? Should I cover the pots with plastic wrap as suggested on one website to keep in moisture and heat? Anything else I should be doing.

Thanks for any help. I've never done seeds before - have always planted plants in the outdoor garden.

How do you wash/clean walls in your home without screwing up the paint? There are marks from furniture being moved in, and just "dirt" in some very common areas.

I don't know what it is, and I can't even find the source! I'm wondering if it could be a dead mouse in the wall, but I'm not sure what that smells like. This smells like rotten garbage. I've literally sniffed all over my living room on hands and knees and can't smell the smell near anything or anywhere in particular. When I'm near the fireplace, it seems like it could possibly be coming from there, but I'm not sure (maybe an animal died up in the chimney somewhere?). Anyway, my question is, what's the best way to get rid of a bad unidentifiable smell? The timing on this really sucks; I'm moving out of this apartment in a week and keep thinking I won't get my security deposit back because of the smell. Help!
