We have just switched our central heating on for the first time this winter and none of the radiators in the house are working, upstairs or down.

We have gas central heating, but not one of those boilers which fires when you need water (not sure what it is called).

Also, none of the radiators have points to bleed them at. They have a temperature control at one end and a random one at the other which doesn't seem to do anything.

Help?

I live in the Northeast. I have them in the garage (near a window for light) to try to keep them from freezing. I noticed that they are turning brown even though I am watering them. I don't want to lose the investment, will they come back in the spring?

I have to trim some branches off a tree that might cause some problems with my roof shingles. The tree is on the corner of the house, the main electrical feed comes into the mast in this area as well. The wires are insulated, so is there any real danger there if I happen to accidentaly come in contact with them? By all means I'd try to stay away, but it is a tricky area...

My grandparents have a rose bush in front of their home in PA that is estimated to be about 80+ years. It continues to bloom although not as well as previous years. My grandparents have since passed away and the house will be sold soon. I wanted to transplant one of the bushes from their house to my house in VA. What is the best season to do this in. The house will be put up for sale in the next couple of months. Any suggestions or help would be much appreciated. Thanks!!

I just moved into my 1983 home. The cabinets have never been refinished. We are considering keeping the wood look but we want to reliven the maple looking stain. Most products says on the label that the surface (which is not a soft kind of wood) needs to be cleaned/washed throughly. We figured soap and water will not do the trick. Also to change the look up on minimal income and for a powerful look, can gel stain work over existing surface without the hassle of lots of sanding?

My heat pump, stopped blowing warm air. The Blue Light, was on, and my house was getting colder. So I turned it up to 80 degrees. My house, still was getting colder. There was still air coming through my vents, but it was cold air. So I went outside, to look at my Unit, and it wasn't even running.

So, I thought maybe it will work in A/C mode, I turned it to A/C mode, and the outside unit, still will not come on. Can someone help?
