Washing tips: Borax (you can find this at Walmart or ask them to carry it--it'snot expensive and is used as a laundry additive and can be used for other cleaning purposes and to deter bugs!), Oxy-Clean (also can be found at Walmart) can help.
Old-fashioned and "tried-and-true" methods are: using baking soda (buy the off-brand to save $$; it's all the same thing)...think about how it absorbs odour in your fridge! Also, pouring white vinegar into the wash water (also off brand, making sure it's WHITE and not apple cider). Try a half cup for the stinkiest loads (vinegar and 1/4 C baking soda -- you can use them both together as well).
Fill the wash water with vinegar and baking soda and let it soak for a while. Give it a chance to work. Use your regular laundry soap with these additives. It will help, at least, if not do the job "right."

It is more expensive, but talk to an Amway distributor. My parents used to be distributors and they sold a product for oil and other stains called "Tri-zyme" or similar spelling.
I worked at a pizza place in high school and dropped a container of cooking oil. It hit the floor, and the force caused the oil to come up vertically and cover me from the neck down. It was everywhere. When I cleanded my uniform I soaked it in this Tri-zyme stuff for an hour, then washed and air dryed (to make sure the oil stain was fully out before the heat of the dryer set it in). The stuff worked great. I also once spilled a can of anchovies on my shirt, and it got out the fish smell and no oil residue.

A friend of mine works at a machine shop and he uses Gain both soap and softner. He chooses dark colored clothes for work so the stains won't show as bad. (I think he wears a black or dark blue tshirt everyday) But he said his wife has sensetive skin and can't use bleach so they don't use bleach at all. He says if he wants to lighten the stain then he will add borax to the load. Good luck.

Try Wisk Stain dissolving power. My husband is in the military and often brings me home clothes that have who knows what on them... yet they come out every time. And I have sensitive skin so I have to watch what I use, yet it doesn't bother me at all. I hope this helps.
