using natural gas to heat a home, which option is cheaper in the long run (long run being one months billing cycle) turning the heat off and on each day, or keeping the heat on but moving the thermostat up and down

I've noticed a small amount of water does not drain from the shower after use, and I smelled an odor today. When I removed the iron cover to take a look, I pulled quite a bit of hair from the drain. I've only been here a few months, so I'm not sure if it's my hair, or from the previous tenants. I'm sure the odor is possibly due to some type of clog preventing the water from completely draining, and the stagnate water is now smelling? Also, the floor of the shower is never filled with water, so I'm sure the majority is draining ok. Thanks.

I just bought a frigdaire GLRT188WD, top mount fridge/freezer from Lowes about two weeks ago. one day last week I left the door open and all of the cold air leaked out, upon my return there was hot air coming out of the two fans that feed both compartments. I figured that it had over heated and shut it down for 24hrs.

now when I turn it back on both fans for the two compartments will come on but no cold air will come out. i also hear the compressor going on and off every couple of hours?

please help, I really love Ice!

thanks

My friend is moving into a new house and she asked me and a few other friends to paint her room with her, we want to go pretty crazy, so far we're planning to have a human outline on the floor, a wall that we all sign, and a black and white checkerboard ceiling, and other ideas? She's 16.

Is it better to turn the heat off before you leave for the day and turn it back on OR does it cost more to warm the house back up than it would to just keep it on all day? I am usually gone for 9-10 hours a day. thanks!
