I just bought a frigdaire GLRT188WD, top mount fridge/freezer from Lowes about two weeks ago. one day last week I left the door open and all of the cold air leaked out, upon my return there was hot air coming out of the two fans that feed both compartments. I figured that it had over heated and shut it down for 24hrs.
now when I turn it back on both fans for the two compartments will come on but no cold air will come out. i also hear the compressor going on and off every couple of hours?
please help, I really love Ice!

If you just bought it two weeks ago call Lowes and have someone come out for service. I would not mention the door being left open though. It may or may not have something to do with the problem but regardless, the refrigerator should not stop cooling. The entire unit is guaranteed for a year and the sealed system is guaranteed for five years.

Wrap your Fridge in Duct Tape.... This will prevent any leaks from the cracks of your fridge!
