White vinegar is a natural deodorizer. I was recently on vacation and came home to find the person who was supposed to be taking care of my cats, didn't do a good job so they started eliminating on my hallway carpet and wall. I ripped the carpet up, but I couldn't very well rip the wall out. I applied a paste of white vinegar and baking soda to the wall and let it set for an hour. Then i washed the paste off and there is absolutely NO odor, white vinegar is a miracle worker. I feel for you though, I once had someone spill a bottle of dip spit on my car rug, ewwww.

Try going to a pet store and getting some of the enzyme stuff that eats the proteins that cause odor.
There is one called natures miracle and one that I like better called pet-zyme or something like that.
You should wet that spot down really well and soak the water and stain up with paper towels until it comes as clean as you can get it and then use the enzyme... it will not smell better until it is completely dry. Do you have a garage? if you do leave it in over night with the doors open so that it will dry faster.

I would use my little Bissel machine. Instead of masking or nuetralizing the odor, the extraction process will remove the hideous smell when it sucks the detergent solution out of your car carpet. As a plus, it will also clean the dirt out of the carpet.

No more BT's in the car-on the road its joints only!

Get a 12 oz..bottle of hydrogen peroxide from the drugstore section--this is totally inexpensive--dilute in heat soapy water do no longer use too lots cleansing soap and scrub it in real solid ideally with a broom. Use a towel to soak up the residue (use the step on technique to get the deep stuff). Repeat minus the cleansing soap the 2d time and enable air dry.

You will have to take it to a car wash that has the shampooers and clean it. They also make Febreeze for cars. It gets the smell of cigarettes out of the car when my hubby smokes in it. Next time don't use the bong in your car...it is not smart to drive under the influence of drugs OR alcohol.

Thank you so much for the laugh, I really needed it. Try the steam cleaning machines they have at the car wash.
