Leaves on my indoor jalapeno plant are curling and flowers that bloom are dropping off rather than fruiting.

I have it indoors, and here at work where it gets constant UV light (at home it was next to a window with a draft on it), and I occasionally (not as much as I should) water it with Miracle-Gro Plant Food 15-30-15. I do water it when the soil appears dry.

Several months ago I transportted it to a new pot (it was rootbound) where after getting over the shock, it did well, but now has slowed down.

Also, is there a secret to cutting off the jalapenos?

Thanks!

The roof in my apartment recently sprung a leak, resulting
in stained and dripping areas on the ceiling around the fireplace and also wet & weeping areas on the walls around the fireplace My landlord says the ceiling and walls don't need to have the drywall replaced just wait till it drys then patched and repainted. At what point do i say repairing just won't cut it.
The ceiling and wall have gotten wet before and is still dripping/
weeping after 3 days.

We installed a fence on our property and 3 of the sprinkler heads that we have on the property are outside the fence. We need to move those sprinkler heads inside the fence so the plants & grass can be watered.

Any ideas how to get rid of an oil stain on a carpet that keeps working its way upwards after cleaning. The stain looks better immediately after cleaning, then it reappears.

I have a 3 month old Daschund puppy. And I just realized that he chewed through the power cord to my pre-lit Christmas Tree. It wasnt plugged in, the dog is fine but the tree cord is completely bitten all the way through. And chewed on. Is this fixable? Its a brand new tree. Can i strip off the casing and reconnect the wires somehow? Use electrical tape? Anything? Would that be safe?

I've looked at Wal-Mart, Target, Michael's and Jo-Anne's with no luck. Amazon has them in cases, but I only need 1 jar. Does anyone know of another store that carries them? (I'm in the San Diego area). Thanks!

What types of housewares products are adults ages 50+ looking to buy? Let's say that you had to give your mother or father a gift that was a housewares item, what would they want? Or if you are one of these people, what would you like and find most useful?

I'm looking to find out what this age bracket wants to purchase. Thanks!

We were out of town for two weeks. While we were gone, the breaker for that freezer flipped over and over $200 in meat was wasted. Will our homeowners insurance cover it? Will we have to take pictures?

I recently stayed in a hotel in a large city, and was quite surprised that the bathroom had two toilet sized fixtures sitting next to one another. I immediately identified one as the toilet, but the other one perplexed me somewhat. It had a large oval rim, not unlike a toilet, but the overall configuration was different. Indeed, there was a dial on the side of the fixture, that when twisted, would produce a water flow from the center of the bowl.

It took me a little while, but I eventually figured out that this plumbing fixture was a drinking fountain. Granted the water wasn't too cold and I sometimes got hair stuck in my teeth, but other than that, not a bad concept for a modern bathroom.

my son washed his coat in the washing machine and my daughter (not knowing) that the faux fur trim around the hood of the coat wouldn't stand up to the heat, dried it in the dryer. Now my son doesn't like the way it looks and I have tried to find a replacment piece to take to a seamstress.

I rent a gas hot water heater and I am having a serious problem with it. For some reason the temperature setting keeps turning itself up. About once a month I have to go dial it down. Now either my dog is moving the dial somehow or it is moving on its own.

In either case this is a very serious problem as I have a small child. Is there any sort of limiter device that can be installed that will prevent it from getting hotter than a safe temperature? Or should I just get the tank replaced, I assume I can just rent a different tank from the gas company. Any suggestions in what to look for in a new tank?

Thanks!
