Leaves on my indoor jalapeno plant are curling and flowers that bloom are dropping off rather than fruiting.

I have it indoors, and here at work where it gets constant UV light (at home it was next to a window with a draft on it), and I occasionally (not as much as I should) water it with Miracle-Gro Plant Food 15-30-15. I do water it when the soil appears dry.

Several months ago I transportted it to a new pot (it was rootbound) where after getting over the shock, it did well, but now has slowed down.

Also, is there a secret to cutting off the jalapenos?

Thanks!

pepper plants need it to be HOT. plant the poor thing outside (perhaps wait until april by now) and make sure to put black plastic down to warm the soil. do NOT put miracle grow on plants you plan to consume b/c it gets into the tissues and you end up eating it...gross...they naturally die once they're done flowering. unless you're attached to it for some reason, just get rid of it and start fresh when it's time, you're gonna have a hard time getting it out of shock

Unless you are in a tropical zone, everything should be slower around now. And generally it is not recommended to use any type of fertilizer in winter months. Also a good idea to remove the peppers starting from the bottom of the plant. Find a permanent spot instead of moving it from home to office all the time! Good luck!

The #1 thing with chile plants is little or no fertilizer

Pods are best if left on the plant until red ripe with corking, they are a little hotter than the green ones, but taste a lot better

They really do not grow well indoors.
