What types of housewares products are adults ages 50+ looking to buy? Let's say that you had to give your mother or father a gift that was a housewares item, what would they want? Or if you are one of these people, what would you like and find most useful?

I'm looking to find out what this age bracket wants to purchase. Thanks!

inexpensive items that are cute that keep them 'hip' but not having to re-learn everything there is about a new appliance that is really not necessary. for example - fun colored spatulas - those neat silicon hot pads and pot holders, anything fun that helps open cans and jars that matches their kitchen (hot pink probably won;t work but red and blue and fun green might) Also - if they are downsizing and have an ancient toaster a bagel+toaster is nice...and anything that makes like easier - not more complicated even if it is a hit with youth!

for bigger items - be sure they have an up-to-date microwave that takes up less space than the older monstrous ones and a new vacuum cleaner that is bagless is good too!

Awful open-ended question. Suspect they do enjoy cooking &/or dining. What I've found useful, besides the basic pots & pans are:
garlic roaster, cast iron skillet, corkscrew, stainless steel mixing bowls, pizza stone, Corning Ware cassarole dishes, wine or drink glasses, dish towells, spice collection, wisks, good set of knives, cutting board(s), ...
Hope this is helpful.

Most people 50+ have most of what they need. I suggest a gift card. It's the easiest and they can get what the need, that U may never know. best of luck, I hope this helped u.

It's hard to answer that question, not knowing your parents and their health/lifestyle/interests.

I'd like a high-end cappucino maker, a toaster wide enough for bagels, Henckels knives, Calphalon cookware.
