Hello, we are looking for a plain hinge hitch bar for a John Deere no # 5 mower. My father needs this to attach his sickle bar mower to the tractor. He has a Farmall model A and the part number for this is A2329HH,according to the operators manual om-h10-(1-56) by John Deere.

You can contact me by email or my father at 717-632-1921 His name is Charles Carbaugh. He owns the tractor.

If you have any suggestion where else to search for this part, I would appreciate it. Thank you, Sue

Our house has all the original woodwork. We are wanting to remodel soon and wondering if it's better to save the original woodwork or to update it?? We are looking at updating to some very beautiful oak trim and doors with some design, but wondering if saving the old woodwork adds to the value?

Thanks for your help!☺

~~~I can home from work, there were the hoses, about to burst behind the washing machine, I called my friend, her dad said he would come right over. (hes a very very sweet older gentleman,semi retired plummer, recently widowed ) he charged me $34.00 for the two "steel" :) hoses and $35.00 labor, for a total of $69.00...took him almost an hour, the hoses were corroded and he had a heck of a time getting them disconnected. I gave him $100.00 told him have a few drinks on me with your buddies,,,,he gave me a hug,,,and said thank you sweetie,,,,,but in my last question someone said it would be an insult to tip ? Did I just insult a very dear older man? I figure he came over asap and replaced the hoses,,,,that were ready to burst. Did I insult him? if not,,,did I tip him enough? I thought $69.00 for parts and labor was pretty good.
How do you get a burner on a gas stove to ignite a flame if it takes a little too long? I don't like waiting too long and letting gas fumes fill the Kitchen. The pilot light is still on. My boyfriend says to light a food wrapper from a different burner and use that to light the slow burner. He also says to light it with a match. I want to stay safe. I guess you could say I have a phobia about matches, fire, and gas.
I just got a letterman jacket, but my parents smoke in the house, so it smells like smoke after one day. I asked my mom to clean it, but she doesn't think it smells like anything other than wool. It's dry clean only, and she's taking it to the cleaners today, but by tomorrow, it's just going to smell like smoke again. Is there anything I can do to stop it from smelling permanently? Thanks for any suggestions at all, I've been looking forward to getting this jacket for as long as I can remember.
I recently moved into a condo that had in the powder room, as its single light source, a recessed flourescent light. The bulb was a 2 pin Sylvania DULUX D 13 W flourescent. If I want to change to a screw in standard incandescent can I just change the buld recepticle or do I need to change the whole assembly? Is there a special transformer of ballast that is hidden somewhere that I need to worry about? Thanks in advance.
I am starting the construction of my own kitchen cabinets. I have done it before using solid maple and maple ply with great success, but in a new book I am reading, the author highly recommends the purchase of a jointer. Now, I understand that the jointer makes a straight edge on the lumber, but if I am purchasing dried S3S lumber, does it matter? With 3 edges straight and surfaced, won't my planer be sufficient to get good parallel edges? The wood is Paduak. I plan on doing a lot of edge jointing of the wood to make wider boards because Paduak is not commonly available as a veneer on plywood (where it is, it ends up being more expensive than solid wood). Any help is appreciated.
I don't know if it's possible because I admittedly know little about painting, but can you remove primer from a wooden door that has never been painted/stained before? I primed it thinking I'd paint the doors white, but I've been thinking about it and now I don't know if I made a mistake and I should go for a stain to enhance the look of the wood. Is it even possible to remove primer or should I just forget about it and go ahead and paint the doors? Thanks.
