How often do you water cacti?

I recently got a small pot with 3 different cacti and a jade tree in it from the supermarket. I was wonder how often I would need to water it. I know not often because they are desert plants.

I may have that exact same plant thing! Don't worry if it seems entirely dry; so is the desert. Do about 2 tablespoons every week; I've had them for nearly a year.

Well a cactus I water once a month if that, but an aloe vera, I would water more often. I think if you water an aloe vera too much the branches fall off. Take pictures of them and take them by Lowes, they usually know a lot about plants just to be sure.

I have a freind with an extensive cacti collection. You're not going to believe this, but he subscribes to a Pheonix AZ news paper and he waters them when it rains there.

Rarely. Succulents and cacti retain moisture so they need very little to maintain themselves.

All the best with them.
