I want to pull up the vinyl floor in my kitchen and put down eiter a ceramic or slate tile, however I have heard that this is not a good idea on a conventional foundation - any advice?

I threw out some cooking grease off my porch and it got all over my aluminum siding. I tried numerous cleaners and degreasers, but nothing worked. Is it safe to powerwash my siding? Do you think it will work?

A carpet cleaning professional stated that the water or liquid you apply to clean the carpet only comes up as a stain later. I found this to be true. He has a process in which he spray a foam over the carpet lifting the dirt and stains out. I would like to know the name of this product and where it can be purchased. It was logical when he stated that the matting was getting soiled underneath the carpet holding the moisture and never getting dry. Can anybody tell me the name of this product?

Ok. We just got a new pub table. It is stained like a cherry oak or Red Wood or something. It has a glossy coat on the top. I, like an idiot, sat a box of Christmas stuff on top of it and slid it off. Now I have like 20 really fine lined scratches all over the top. I need some good advice on what to do to fix this problem...fast! Is there something I can do other than sand it down and re finish it? Please help, my wife is very upset.

I just recently moved to Florida around the tampa bay area and I have a terrible yard the grass hasn't been mowed for 2 months and doesn't need it either lots of bare spots. I am remodeling a home and I am considering installing sprinklers on the top floor where the kids rooms will be. Pros and Cons? Has anyone done this before. My only fear is that they might go off accidentially and cause water damage.
