I'm getting my own place soon and like to make and do things for myself...basic furniture design, reupholstery and so forth... also I would like to save money. any good sites out there? or books anyone can recommend?

I watch HGTV all the time and go to HGTV. com and DIY. com for all kinds of info. Also, you can use a search engine for do it yourself projects, etc. I also have lots of decorating/craft magazines.
