I surely have only bumped off the polystyrene tiles from my mattress room ceiling. I first bumped off the tiles using a wallpaper scraper and then performed a warm air gun on the the rest adhesive. This softened the two the adhesive (fairly) and the underlying paint layer so allowing me to scrape away the blobs. Even then it somewhat isn't any longer a speedy job and truly makes your palms soreness. good success!

The best way is to scrape them off.Use a long handled scraper from B & Q.Be careful not to dig into the ceiling.Any surplus adhesive can be removed using a wallpaper steam stripper.Place it over the blobs of adhesive until they soften and then scrape off.Good luck...it's a pig of a job.

No. Only a good sharp scraper blade, elbow grease, and a good radio play!
