Whatever you do make sure that you only use cold water, hot water will set blood forever. Then you can try lemon juice or peroxide to get the blood out or Simple Green (terrific as a laundry spotter) which you can buy at Home Depot or WalMart.

If the jeans are not reall reall dark, you can actually put a little bleach in the water while washing them...but wash them by themselves. You don't want your whites to turn blue. But a small amount of bleach will take the blood out and will not turn your pants any lighter. I had rust on a pair of shorts from tearing down a shed. I washed them two times, just regular, and it didn't come out...but a little bit of bleach took it right out.

I bought a pair nice dress pants they were that khaki color from a thrift store! Of course I put everything in the washer when I got home! I tried on the pants and saw IT!!! Well I sprayed and scrubed with a plastic dish scrubber threw them back in the wash and they were clean!

Try Hydrogen Peroxide. I know it works when the blood is fresh. Not sure about 2 weeks old, but doesn't hurt to try. I used to use hairspray on difficult stains, like ink. If the hydrogen peroxide doesn't work, you could try hairspray. Oxyclean is great stuff too.

Try Carbona stain remover. U can get it at Wal-mart, Target, etc. in the laundry aisle near the dyes. It comes in little yellow bottles w/ different numbers on them for different types of stains, and one of them is for blood (they also take out things like grass stains, mustard, grease/oil etc.) Just don't try using bleach- it does not have the same effect as peroxide!!!
