The landlord has had the exterminators spray chemicals a few times in our apartment- inside and out. In fact, the exterminator was there spraying just a few weeks ago. But we keep seeing roaches- it's quite gross, because the roaches find a way to even get INSIDE the microwave! They are evidently hiding away somewhere in the building.

I remember using some kind of roach bait in our old townhome- it was food pellets laced with poison or something, and it seemed to work okay. It got rid of the pests for a time.

Any suggestions on a product or idea to get rid of these roaches?

I bought a dvd for my kids, but they are fighting over it. I tried to copy it to a VHS tape, but it came out with a red haze. My computer is not an option, it's an old dell.

Are there any compact hand held models?
Ease of assembly important as well!

Thanks.

OK-So, I know that I have asked this quesitons before, or something very similiar, but we are getting closer to meeting with the designer. We are building a home that we will most likely stay in until we die. We have 2 small children (under the age of 7) who are both very active and we are on the go a lot! Does anyone have anything that they put into their homes that they can't live without or wish that they had included. I am looking for any advice what so ever. All of it I appreciate. I want to be THOROUGHLY researched with little regrets after we are finished!!!!

Thanks for you input!

Alright, for some reason my tub (tub/shower) has slowly and now almost completely gotten clogged. At first it was a minor thing, but now, everytime I take a shower for at least 30 minutes, the tub fills with water and it takes awhile (and I mean a while) before the water completely drains. My first method (a few minutes ago) was to use a plunger, BUT all that did was bring up some.. well, let's just say nasty things back instead of unclogging it.

So, what's the most efficient (and possibly fastest and cheapest) way to unclog a tub? I really need this, so any helpful feedback will be highly appreciated.

I have a gas cooktop, black-on-black. It has knobs and grills but the main part is black glass. Here is a picture:

The darn thing is almost impossible to clean. Last time I cooked, it got a little bit of spatter and spill on it - which happens, when you cook - and I had to go over it three times with 409 and twice with Windex to get it clean and shiny again without leaving filmy cleaner residue or streaks. It's a pain to have to do it over and over again, especially around the knob shafts even if the knobs are taken off.

Is there some Advanced New Thrilling Cleaning Product out there that will clean this thing with less effort and time?
