Hi all. Trying to get dog smell out of clothes & blankets. I've tried several commercial odor removers (Unique Pet Odor & Stain Eliminator, Tide w/Febreze, OxyClean in various forms), but nothing has worked. Have read suggestions left earlier on YA as well. Hubby has suggested using Pine-Sol in wash, claims his mother used this successfully. Can't ask, as she's deceased. Any suggestions? Many thanks.

I have three heat/AC zones in my house. One for downstairs and two for upstairs (one in the master bedroom and the other for the rest). When I leave the house in the morning I turned off all three zones. When I am upstairs I turned off the downstairs heat. Am I saving money or wasting money?

I'm finishing my basement and will have about 17 outlets. I plan to run 12 AWG and use 20 amp breakers. Are 2 circuits the way to go? The room is about 450 SF and there will be lighting as well.

I have tried shredded bits of underwear and toilet paper. Nothing is working! Please help.

I even water it with unflushed toilet water. I need help. Someone told me dingleberry plants love to eat hair. Is this true?

I live in a 4,000 sq. ft. home with 3 bed rooms upstairs that are not used. Is it better to shut the vents & doors and lower the upstairs temp or keep the upstairs temp the same as downstairs, since heat rises?

Does any one know how to get ink off a white wall? Preferebly a "home-remedy" ? My 3 yr got really happy with an ink pen. I should have known she was quite for a reason. (roll eyes) If anyone has any good ideas let me know. I prefer not to have to re-paint but I'm thinking about it. All ideas appreciated! Thanks!

The cover (cap) I am looking for is actually just a screw on type of a cover. Pretty much like a cap that screws on to the top of a milk jug. It is for a regular 110v outlet on the outside of my house. The cap needs to be 1 1/2" diameter. I remember that the original cover for this outlet also had a short chain on it, so the cap would just hang there when unscrewed so that you wouldn't lose it. The chain broke, and the cap was lost a few years ago. I have already tried to look for it at local small hardware stores, as well as big box retailers such as home depot, lowes, and others, as well as electrical supply places. If you know where I could get one, please let me know.

I filled up two tanks totalling 180 gallons of propane 6 weeks ago for around 400 bucks and now its empty. I have a 1500 square foot house and heat it with propane, also heat the water with it. Its only me, and it hasn't been that hot at all. I ran the temp at about 65. How fast do you run out of propane? I'm renting this place in Vermont and feel like I was a little scammed when not told of the large charges for heat...and its not even real winter yet!

I got a brand new lamp for my desk on Christmas, but it heats up easily so I have to turn it on and off all the time, so it doesn't cause a fire. Any tips or tricks to keep it cool?

I've tried everything! Soap & water, bleach, and other stain/cleaners but nothing is taking off the ash above my fireplace. I have white walls, and don't want to paint to cover it up.

Used caulk to fill nail holes after hanging crown molding. Applied caulk fairly thickly. What's the easiest and best way to sand? How can I minimize the mess when sanding?

Everyday my mum and I fight over this controversial issue. She always seems to wash up the plates in the sink and make me dry them although there is a perfectly good, in pristine condition dishwasher calling out 'Use me use me!' But no i cant seem to convince her to use it can I. Any suggestions?

It's an older Sunbeam model. Pretty standard one, I think. I'd like to add a higher end burner that covers more the space more thoroughly. I'd like to add BTU's and a more sensitive control over the flame.
I know I could just buy a better grill, but this one has sentimental value. I've researched this on the internet, but come up with very little info. Has anyone ever tried something like this? I need some good resources. Thanks
