The salesman will suggest you lie down on it for a few minutes. I bought a pillowtop about five years ago. I did lie on it in the store first. I really like it. But if you don't like the one you buy, a reputable store will take it back. So, don't buy from store you aren't familiar with. Do your homework.

Have sex on the mattress and see how much bounce to the ounce it has.
