I have a palm tree that is beginning to look like it's shedding????

why is the leaves/fronds splitting and looking like it's hair????

in fla i know i learned they love to be let alone take off the brown at trunck should at bottom and yes from living in fla i learned up close and personal that the do indeed shed but theyre outside and take care of themselves
