I thought I would go with a Tempur-pedic but now I understand that they are hot and can retain the body shape. HELP. Can anyone give me some solid direction? I love hotel mattresses. FIRM. I live in the Detroit area. Downriver. Thanks!

We bought a Tempur-pedic ~4 years ago. I love it. It does not develop a depression from a body. In my opinion it seems colder than a traditional matteras when you first get in. I think that's because it kind of wraps around you a bit and therefore covers more of your surface area. Would I buy another one? Probably not, because the price was rediculous in hind sight. My back was killing me at the time and I didn't care about cost at the time. I think there are other brands out there now that are probably just as good and are much less expensive.
